Rank 45® is an American lifestyle brand inspired by the spirit of the West and grounded in premium denim and workwear roots. Since our founding in 2013 in Garden Grove, California, we’ve stayed true to who we are – authentic, approachable, and committed to making premium apparel accessible.
Our Story
The idea for Rank 45 came about organically from our founders’ own experiences growing up and living in Southern California. As long-time veterans of the action sports, motorcycle, and music scenes who worked in the premium denim industry, they were frustrated by the lack of stylish, comfortable clothing that could transition seamlessly from the trails to the town.
Out of this passion, Rank 45 was born with the mission of celebrating and inspiring the explorer in all of us. After securing premium Italian denims as the foundation, we set out to build a lifestyle brand that fused our California roots and American heritage with modern, versatile designs.
The name Rank 45 comes from our home base in California’s 45th state district, encompassing cities like Garden Grove, Westminster, Fountain Valley, and Santa Ana. It’s where our founders built the company from the ground up, through late nights developing new styles and personally distressing each pair of jeans. From California the brand has grown, but that homegrown spirit and attention to detail remains at the core of who we are.
Made in the USA
From day one, we’ve been committed to keeping production in the USA whenever possible. Our jeans are designed and hand-distressed in Los Angeles using premium denims from Italy. We partner with family-owned workshops in California to create our shirts, jackets, and accessories. While some materials are sourced globally, every garment comes together here in America with care and oversight.
For our leather goods like belts, wallets, and boots, we partner with small workshops in Texas and Mexico that have been perfecting their craft for generations. By combining their expertise with our designers’ visions, we’re preserving time-honored techniques while creating new American classics.

Rank 45 is dedicated to supporting the communities that have fueled our growth across America. We regularly collaborate with nonprofits that invest in our nation’s future through mentorship, job training, and education. Among the organizations we’ve worked closely with are Boys & Girls Clubs of America, SkillsUSA, and Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA).
We also believe in protecting the great outdoors for the next generation. We partner with groups like the National Park Foundation and American Prairie Reserve that are preserving America’s natural spaces through conservation, youth engagement, and more.
And when disasters strike closer to home, we make it a priority to contribute however we can. We’ve provided clothing and boots to people impacted by hurricanes, flooding, wildfires, and other crises through partnerships with first responder organizations.
